Police say all synthetic marijuana products are dangerous, but there is a batch being sold that’s sending scores of users to the emergency room. On Saturday, Baptist Hospital emergency department reported more than 70 patients received treatment since Christmas after using synthetic marijuana. Beaumont EMS reports responding to more than 50 suspected overdoses of this batch this week alone.

Spice, K2 — the drug has many names. It’s a plant mixture with added chemicals. The toxic chemicals are the danger. You can buy spice at independent convenience stores and gas stations.
